Palms are a great way to add dimension to your garden. The many varieties have a great tropical appearance and a wide variety of uses. From a screening hedge, to a feature palm, to a canopy of shade. There is a palm for everyone

  ALEXANDER
Tall, elegant native palm. Grows to 20m. Self cleaning. Ideally planted in groups. Silver underside of fronds are very eye catching. Grows in full sun to part shade.
     
  SOLITAIRE
Native, Single trunk, self cleaning palm. Grows to 10m ideal for small blocks, courtyards and pots. Grows in full sun and part shade.
     
  BOTTLE
A slow growing, attractive palm with a distinct bottle shaped trunk. Great for landscaping around pools as it is salt tolerant. Grows to 5m in full sun.
     
  GOLDEN CANE
Clumping palm that is fast growing and very hardy. Grows to 15m and is ideal for screening. Grows in full sun and part shade.
     
  MACARTHURI
Native clumping palm that is self cleaning. This slender upright palm, thickens and multiplies with age. Great to grow in pots as a feature growing to 12m. Grows in full sun or part shade.
     
  CAPENTARIA
Slender palm, single trunk with distinct weeping fronds. Great for drier, harshier climates. Grows to 12-18m. Grows in full sun.
     
  CUBAN ROYAL
A large growing single trunked palm to 30m. Large fronds that leave distinct lines around the trunk. Great planted along entrances or as a feature. Grows in full sun.
     
  TRIANGLE
Striking single trunked palm with a distinct triangle shaped base. Grows to 6m. Attractive blue/grey foliage that grows in full sun. A good feature for the garden.
     
  RED NECK
Single stem palm covered in distinctive red hairs, with very large glossy green fronds. Grows to 10m in full sun or part shade. A very attractive palm that looks great multiplanted.
     
  FAN PALM
Large fan palm growing to 10m. An attractive palm excellent for coastal plantings. Grows in full sun.
     
  DWARF DATE PALM
Short squat palm ideal for understorey plantings. Draught resistant, Fine needle like fronds with large spines along trunk. Grows in full sun and part shade.
     
  CABBAGE PALM (LIVISTONIA)
Grows to 15m with a thick rough trunk. Prefers moist soil, naturally found growing alond creeks and water courses.
     
  COCONUT
Tall, slender palm with yellow, green fronds growing to 30m. Grows in full sun or part shade. Produces edible fruit. Dwarf variety also available.
     
  LADY PALM (RAPHIS)
Slow growing clumping palm with glossy green leaves. Ideal as an understorey plant or as a pot plant indoors. Very hardy, likes drier conditions but will not tolerate wind or full sun.
     
  BAMBOO
Slender clumping palm with dark green leaves, ideal for shaded areas. Good as an indoor plant, but needs protection from sun and strong winds when planted out.
     
  BISMARKIA
Large, slow growing palm to 18m, with beautifull blue grey leaves. Great as a feature in the garden. Grows in full sun.
