“One of the biggest projects we’ve sunk our teeth into is the upgrade to Bowen’s main street.”

With $5 million of funding from the State Government the Whitsunday Regional Council’s are sprucing up Bowen to make it more attractive too domestic and international tourists. We are so pleased to be apart of this project  working on installing underground services to the Main Street, upgrading roundabouts, streetscapes, traffic islands, tree planting and the wayfaring and signage.
With the first stage of the works on Herbert Street complete, we have now moved onto stage two. With Herbert Street now open again between Powell and Williams Street the second stage will mean the closure of the eastern side of Herbert Street between Williams and George Street. Pedestrian access is still open but there is no car parking available along Herbert Street.
